Since the 1980s DMA has provided auto appraisals as part of its service offering. This grew over the years into a full Material Damage division that does appraisals, desk reviews, and the specialized handling of total losses. Our appraiser network has steadily grown and is now active in a number of states.
In the 1990s David Morse & Associates formed its Third Party Administration division. Since then we have handled over 150,000 private passenger auto claims as a TPA, and many thousands of residential property claims. This division also specializes in the handling of commercial programs, including commercial auto. It handles claims for carriers, self-insured companies and public entities. Claims are administrated nationwide out of regional centers in Los Angeles and Battle Creek, Michigan.
In 2006, David Morse & Associates acquired Insurance Servicing and Adjusting Company (ISAC), headquartered in Weston, Florida and with branch offices throughout the southeastern United States. The acquisition enhanced our presence as a property TPA, added field adjusting offices throughout the Southeast, and added to our capacity as a catastrophe claims services provider.
In 2006 we adopted the name DMA Claims Services to encompass all the services being provided to the insurance industry and self-insured entities. David Morse & Associates continues to be the name of our core independent adjusting and investigations business.
